iTunes Music Store Content
I’ve been frustrated lately by Apple and the iTunes Music Store – apparently, even though we live in a digital age on the Internet and all, we still can’t get rid of artificial region limitations.
I wanted to buy a couple of tracks that apparently are only available in Japan. By switching iTunes into the Japan store, I can browse, search, and even preview the tracks. But, I can’t buy them. I really don’t understand this – I am a willing customer and I’m being turned away. I can understand why I can’t buy Japanese games in stores here in the US – but not being able to buy music because I’m physically located in the wrong part of the world?
Now, I’m pretty sure that the lawyers made them do it – but can’t some kind of agreement be made so that everyone has equal access to the content on the various iTunes Music Stores?
